The health law sets out the fundamental rules and principles governing the protection and promotion of public health. Its title devoted to pharmaceutical products and medical devices establishes the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products (Article 223), a public institution of a specific nature responsible for the registration, approval and control of these products.
It is the legal foundation of the Agency's work; its pharmaceutical provisions were amended and supplemented by Ordinance No. 20-02 of 30 August 2020.
