The Ministers of Pharmaceutical Industry and Health review the project to obtain international classification for the pharmaceutical system

The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Mr Wassim Kouidri, and the Minister of Health, Mr Abdelhak Saihi, chaired a working meeting on Tuesday 2 September 2025 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, devoted to reviewing the progress of the national workshop assessing the national pharmaceutical regulatory system with a view to obtaining "international maturity level 3 certification, in coordination with the World Health Organization", which will enhance the competitiveness of local products on international markets.

The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Mr Wassim Kouidri, stated that obtaining maturity level 3 certification will give the pharmaceutical industry access to international markets by facilitating the registration and trade of locally produced medicines.

For his part, the Minister of Health indicated that his services are ensuring the completion of all legal and technical procedures to accelerate the pace of this workshop, noting that his services have mobilised every human and technical resource to obtain this international classification, particularly in view of the growing African demand for Algerian medicines.
