Articles

Following a rigorous selection process based on scientific and thematic criteria, Algeria, represented by the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products (ANPP), has been selected as the focal point for pharmaceutical product registration within the North Africa agency, which brings together Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania and Morocco - strengthening Algeria's regional standing in the regulation and registration of pharmaceutical products.

The selection of the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products from among the other members of the North Africa agency reflects the strength of Algeria's pharmaceutical product registration system, which has made it possible to guarantee the quality of medicines marketed in the country.

As a reminder, the decision to select the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products as the focal point for pharmaceutical product registration within the North Africa agency was announced at the opening of the Medicines Regulatory Harmonisation Initiative for the North Africa region

(NA-MRH), held in Egypt from 18 to 20 February 2025 in Cairo.
